Clinical Supervision

As a clinical supervisor my aim is to help you become the best version of you professionally so you can work with your clients ethically and with confidence. To monitor and encourage development and reflective skills to ensure you are providing the best service for your clients.

I provide individual and group supervision to counsellors and other professions. I offer a secure, open and empathetic space for you to explore your work with your clients where you can explore any ethical considerations, process, ideas and deepen your understanding of the process both for your clients and yourselves. I welcome any counsellor who wishes to develop and engage in supervision.

I am particularly interested in helping newly qualified counsellors in private practice.

Primarily I use the Seven-Eyed supervision is a process-oriented approach which integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision. It focuses on the relationships between client, therapist and supervisor, and takes into consideration the interplay between each relationship and their context within the wider system.

For trainees and newly qualified counsellors I work with the Seven-eyed supervision model adapted to the developmental needs of my supervisee which means I may also integrate different models of supervision for specific requirements of placement guidelines and early years in practice.

I also offer supervision in other sectors including but not limited to:

  • Care industry

  • Solicitors

  • Teachers

  • Doctors and Nursing Staff

  • Community Workers in private and third sector roles

In any role where you are working with vulnerable or at risk clients, you can be subject to emotional stresses and with the limits of confidentiality it can feel very lonely leaving you holding a lot of emotions. This can lead to vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burn out. Supervision offers a confidential space to support you, helping you process these feelings and provides opportunity to develop coping strategies to support you emotionally, ensuring you continue to provide the right degree of support to your patients, clients or beneficiaries.
